Pakistan: life in lahore

Mission Update Pictures

Various motives have found us returned to Lahore for the past few days. Besides the free internet from our friends at the Bitu Net Club, the proximity to the Indian border offers a chance to investigate exactly what "massive buildup" means. Tora Bora was a decidedly one-sided affair, but here are two well equipped armies most eager to get it on.

Pakistan: aesthetic meat

Pakistan: sites of peshawar
Posted by: adam on Tuesday, December 11, 2001 - 08:18 AM
Mission Update Peshawar the last moderate sized city before Khyber pass. This area marks a cornerstone for British colonialism as well as past fears of a German invasion of India. North Western Frontier Province is our view from here. Pakistani law drifts off a couple of kilometers up the main road. Tribal law takes hold in the NWFP to continue a battle that has been evolving for hundreds of years.

Pakistan: from the frontier (Peshawar)
Posted by: todd on Tuesday, December 11, 2001 - 08:13 AM
Mission Update Pakistan's North West Frontier Province (NWFP) is a lawless tribal province that is "administered", but not directly controlled by Islamabad. It's capital, Peshawar, lies along the Grand Trunk road, at the foot of the Khyber Pass halfway between Islamabad and Kabul. Pakistan: exposing pakistan
Posted by: todd on Monday, December 03, 2001 - 10:55 AM

Pakistan: pakistan

Mission Update Todd has just informed me that you play Russian roulette with your monitor every time you boot it up.
